Last weekend the Tweed Coast American Motorcycle Club started their annual ride right here at Chinderah Tavern. This year's ride was in support of local Murwillumbah girl Kayla Hufton.
Sadly, Kayla was diagnosed with 'Malignant Peripheral Nerve Sheath Tumor' growing in her chest. Unfortunately, doctors are unable to shrink or treat Kayla's tumour anymore and instead she has started 'Kill it with Kindness' whereby her body will be fueled with goodness ridding her of toxins. To continue her health journey and fight Kayla needs as much help from the community as possible.
On Saturday at 10 am the street was lined with motorcycles all ready to support the cause! There were prizes, raffles and an all round great atmosphere as the bikes revved through the streets of Chinderah. We are proud to say that alongside the AMC we raised a total of $8000, all proceeds going directly to Kayla.
For those that could not attend the event but want to support Kayla on her journey, the family has set up a Go Fund Me account which you can access here.
Thank you to everyone that attended and we can't wait for next year's event!
